About the job

In your first year with TI, you will participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), which provides professional and technical training and resources to accelerate your ramp into TI and set you up for long-term career success. Within this program, we also offer function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning opportunities that will encourage you to solve problems through a variety of hands-on, meaningful experiences from your very first day on the job.

We are looking for an university graduate RF engineer to join our validation team. As an RF validation engineer you will focus on debug and optimization of RF performance in close collaboration with the other HW/SW R&D teams. When finalized, you will gather data sheet and validation performance numbers for our leading-edge RF IC’s in a world class RF lab. You will also work closely with the business teams to develop solid test- and validation specifications and plans before executing and bringing the product into the market.   

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Debug and optimization to meet design specifications as well as regulatory requirements
  • Characterization of Texas Instruments cutting-edge RF ICs for datasheet generation
  • Development and optimization of RF PHYs for all supported standards (BLE, WiSUN, ZigBee, OFDM, etc.)
  • Design of RF HW and lab development boards
  • HW simulations and analysis of designs (baluns, filters, transmission lines, impedance matches)

Minimum requirements:

  • Ongoing or completed Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, or related field

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in RF HW design and testing
  • RF PCB design (Cadence, Altium or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (e.g. spectrum and network analyzers, load pull systems, etc.) and simulation tools (e.g. ADS, Ansys, etc.)
  • Regulatory compliance testing
  • Anechoic/EMC chamber testing
  • Solid hardware debugging skills
  • Embedded C, Python LabVIEW and software debugging skills are an advantage
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Time management skills and the ability to work towards a deadline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
