Texas Instruments is looking for an organized and detailed-oriented General Ledger Accountant. As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be involved in General Ledger controlling and reporting, compliance, tax, statutory, and multiple general accounting and reporting activities, along with a range of other financial reconciliation and control tasks as required within the team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for balancing books periodically by preparing and posting journal entries, maintaining and reconciling ledger accounts, providing record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions.
  • Responsible for preparing profit and loss statement, and balance sheet statement to management team and external parties.
  • Prepare and be responsible for internal or external reporting required within Malaysia by collecting data, analyzing, and investigating variances, and summarizing data and trends.
  •  Respond to financial inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support preparation of statutory accounts, liaising with external auditors and other stakeholders.
  • Engage in supporting the US GAAP Internal audit, External audit and SOX Compliance.
  • Accomplish finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Ensure robust controls for transaction processing, accounting process and close activities, and compliance reporting according to Malaysia accounting standards (MFRS), and TI policies and procedures.
  • Proactively identify new initiatives that could benefit TI with process improvement and systems enhancement initiatives with automation process.
  • Develop recommendations to optimize current process and procedures and detect inaccuracies.
  • Liaison with the other TI sites for best practice sharing and process improvements.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy (Hons.) or equivalent with full professional qualification of CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Fresh graduates with 0-2 years of experience since graduation are welcome to apply. Ideally, candidates should have 1-2 years of experience in general accounting.
