India and Rest of Asia Procurement team is seeking an individual that is passionate about making a difference and want to have a significant impact to our company’s growth towards 2030, and lead us into a strategic position in the industry from supply chain standpoint.
Business Summary & Primary Responsibilities:
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing regional procurement for the assigned category(s) for India and Rest of Asia (Non-Production) sites. ROA sites include Singapore, Australia, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. This team is part of the Global Indirect Procurement organization. We support internal partners from Facilities, HR, IT, Logistics, Product Distribution Centers & manage South Asia Travel Operations.
The Procurement Specialist should be involved in early collaboration with our internal partners to identify and develop supplier capabilities to bring innovation for TI’s product differentiation, global supplier management through performance measurements/improvements, strategic relationship building, and supporting our sites through sourcing strategies that drive total cost of ownership and cost leadership for TI. The position requires the ability to understand market and develop procurement strategies to meet aggressive supply, cost, and quality goals while mitigating risk. The job demands strong multi-tasking skills and building relationships with multiple levels of internal partners for the South Asia region.
Responsibilities include:
- This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role reporting to Head of India and ROA Procurement team
- Be a Procurement leader who will develop and execute sourcing strategies regionally/globally for managed category(s)
- Drive annual cost, operation and priority goals
- Negotiate agreements with suppliers to give TI a competitive advantage.
- Develop positive working relationships with internal partners in the regions and CPT/Finance partners globally.
- Develop and execute on Business Continuity Plan
- Supplier Improvement and Performance Management through WPL tools such as CETRAQ, QBR

- Drive overall category management and ensure appropriate supplier selection looking at the key evaluation metrics.
- Be self-driven, challenge status quo and be accountable for actions in their respective category and area of responsibility.
- Focus on execution and ensure that suppliers are meeting KPIs such as on time delivery, quality etc.
- Engage with senior leaders and influence decisions
- Build and leverage relationships (both internal and external) to get results
- Prioritize and structure work to meet key deliverables
- Think ahead and anticipate category and stakeholder requirements
- Leverage our supply chain to innovate on new projects within area of specialization
- Drive for results in supplier quality, assurance of supply, and Total cost of ownership
Special work environment:
- International travel will be on need basis in order to support WPL priorities, strategies, and goals.
- Must be able to regularly accommodate calls and interactions outside business hours with global team members
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree. MBA is preferred.
- Experience of 3 years + in TI
Preferred requirements:
- Ability to work independently, solve complex & ambiguous problems, drive results & change, communicate & influence globally, and manage multiple priorities
- Foundational knowledge of business processes, supply chain operations, and strong analytical skills
- Supplier management and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (written and oral) & influence at all levels of management with appropriate sense of urgency
- Ability to work and collaborate with internal partners for India and ROA
- Leadership & Strategic thinking capability will be a differentiator
