Job Description and Responsibilities:

Texas Instruments is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic SAP Finance architect who will a play key role in driving SAP Finance activities, designing, configuring and supporting Finance applications in SAP ECC while adhering to Texas Instruments Standards. The candidate will partner with multiple teams in a global setting, and will gather, assess, and clarify the business requirements, map them with systems capabilities, convert requirements into functional specifications, and recommend and develop optimal configuration solutions for projects and enhancements.

Key responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Build SAP ERP technology solutions with a focus on bringing about transformation in existing Finance areas such as Accounting, Controls (Costs and Executive), Treasury, Investment Management, etc.,
  • Analyze technical and functional integration requirements to suit the needs of the company
  • Lead, influence and establish direction by working strategically and in collaboration with the project teams, project delivery leads, and stakeholders to create out-of-the-box Finance offerings powered by SAP ERP Finance tools
  • Architect solutions to complex problems – Design, set up, test, and oversee the implementation of the proposed solution, focusing on key factors such as long-term effectiveness, practicality and business benefit.
  • Gather, analyze, and document technical and architecture requirements, such as interface, network, security, performance, infrastructure, and reliability requirements
  • Drives or recommends changes in business processes and/or technical standards as the case maybe.
  • Continuous learning – Stay up-to-date on industry trends and expand their technical knowledge on an ongoing basis.
  • Mentoring and developing technical members of the organization, engages with subject matter experts in other domains and technologies to define more complete solutions  
  • Communicates effectively, bridging technical, functional and business conversations, including influencing leaders at various levels of the company
  • Long-term thinking – connect business needs and strategy to the appropriate technology landscape for the next 10+ years and build a road map to get there
  • Utilize tools such as solution manager, bizzdesign, confluence to efficiently track, document and design solutions for the ERP org.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent.
  • Experience of around 8 – 14 years

Expertise / Required Skills:

  • Proven record of success as an SAP Finance architect with around 3 end-to-end SAP implementation projects; with 8+ years of overall SAP Implementation experience.
  • 3+ years of experience architecting/ implementing SAP solutions for internal or external organizational needs
  • Functional experience in SAP core modules like General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Product Costing/Actual Costing/Material Ledger, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Treasury, Cash Management, Tax, Special Purpose Ledger, Profit Center Accounting.
  • Technical experience in ABAP backend, programming modules like SAP Fiori, front end experience in UI5, Web Dynpro, Figma.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of Business process functionality and data flow of SAP ECC
  • Design /configuration and/or testing experience working on an SAP Finance implementation
  • Write or update configuration and functional (RICEFW) specification documents.

  • Fast learner, self-motivated, and should have the ability to influence across organizations, proven collaboration skills, comfortable working with some degree of ambiguity, ability to make quick and informed decisions to handle crisis situations.
  • Ability to work well with global stakeholders, interact with cross-geographical teams and hold conversations with teams at multiple levels
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills with clarity of thought and ability to demonstrate it.
  • Highly self-motivated, driven and directed with keen attention to detail.
